An imposing 1915 brick Edwardian in Melbourne's leafy Ascot Vale, a well loved home that the family had grown out of and were ready for their next adventure!
The house needed a full overhaul, re-plastering, re-painting throughout, new fireplace installed, new built-in robes, new window furnishings, complete front and back landscaping. The job was huge and time was of the essence. The family had found a new house they wanted to buy and so renovating and selling this home was top priority.
OJD do this type of work for people wanting to sell their homes all the time. Whilst we love to help people achieve their dreams in their forever homes we also get a huge amount of satisfaction from working with people who are looking to sell and need to maximise all that they can out of their property sale. We have so much experience with this now that we have repeat customers who have asked us to come back time and time again to help make those changes that make all the difference come auction day. This was no exception!
Being given a beautiful home like this one to work with, the bones were there, the proportions of the grand Edwardian were there so we really leant into that. We brought a tired old home with plaster cracks and badly yellowed timber floors back to life with a fresh white and black contemporary colour scheme against the rich red brick pointed facade. The whole house was re-plastered, re-painted and decorated from scratch. We think the before and after photos really show the huge transformation that took place.
