The new owners of this magical and original 1970's beach house in Blairgowrie reside overseas. They needed someone to take it over on settlement date, bring builders in to make all the necessary repairs/upgrades, manage a full repaint inside and out and then proceed to style the home throughout. Everything from furniture to bedlinen, cutlery to the BBQ and all within 1 month! The OJD team had a huge job on their hands but loved every single minute of it. The end result was a high-end property fitted out with all the luxuries and extras that truly make a house feel like a home. This has enabled the owners to handover the property to an Airbnb manager and it's been booked out ever since!
We just LOVE being able to work on original vintage/period homes, and a 1970's beach house is no exception.... With all the stunning exposed timber cladding and original features we decided to really lean into this and bring new fresh warmth to the space with vintage timber furniture and neutral soft furnishings.
There will be a much larger scope renovation carried out over the next year so it was vital to not spend the budget on areas that were only temporary. We pride ourselves on being able to work within a modest budget and make the very most out of it for our clients, truly listening the needs and wants of the client. The owners of this property were so thrilled with the outcome and we look forward to working with them further in the next renovation phase in 2023. Watch this space!
